What age is Kids In The Room designed for?
Our educational escape room games for kids are designed for ages 5 to 14.
For children aged 5-11, accompanying adult guidance is required.
For big kids 12 and above, they can participate independently, but nonetheless adults are welcome to join the fun!
Why does an adult need to be present for 5-11 year olds?
To ensure a safe and enriching experience, children aged 5–11 must be accompanied by an adult. You play the vital role of Hint Guardian, helping children break down complex puzzles and fostering meaningful family bonding.
Additionally, adult supervision is required to ensure the safety of all participants and the proper use of our game props within the rooms.
What about for children below 5 years old, can we play?
Yes, children under 5 can play our games with active adult participation. While our puzzles are designed to challenge the critical thinking of older kids, younger children can enjoy the sensory and role-play elements with an adult’s help.
Pricing for Toddlers:
– Children under 5: Require a standard child ticket as they actively participate in the themed environment.
– Infants (in carriers): Entry is free.
Will my child feel scared in your rooms?
Absolutely not. At Kids In The Room, we have completely reimagined the escape room concept to be 100% child-friendly. Unlike adult escape rooms that often use dark themes or jump-scares, our missions are non-scary, brightly lit, and whimsical.
We prioritise psychological safety: we do not have locked doors and game rooms are separated by a curtain, so children are free to exit to the game room at any time if they need a break. Our focus is entirely on fun, educational STEM-based puzzles that challenge the mind through curiosity and role-play rather than fear. This makes us the perfect choice for sensitive children or first-timers looking for a high-energy indoor adventure in Singapore.
What is the best group size for our games?
To ensure everyone has a fun and active role in the game, we recommend the following:
For ages 5 to 11: Groups of 3–4 children plus 1–2 adults work best.
For ages 12 and up: A group of 3–4 players is ideal.
Room Capacity: Our rooms can accommodate a maximum of 6 people. If you have a larger group, please WhatsApp us for enquiry and assistance.
Important Note: As we are a dedicated kids’ experience, every booking must include at least one child to proceed.
What is the KITR Passport and how do I earn rewards?
Every new explorer at Kids In The Room receives an official KITR Passport on their first visit! This is your personal mission log to track your progress through our educational escape room games.
How to Level Up:
– Stickers: Each passport comes with a unique cover sticker to kick off your journey.
– Collect Stamps: Receive a mission stamp after successfully completing each game.
– Claim Your Reward: Once you’ve collected 8 mission stamps, you’ll earn an exclusive KITR Reward!
Passport Policies:
– Forgot your passport? Don’t worry! We’ll provide a temporary mission slip you can transfer later.
– Keep it safe: Lost passports can be replaced for a small $2 fee.
– Play Fair: Stamps are non-transferable and must be earned honestly to qualify for rewards.
Can we take photos and videos?
Get your poses ready! Every mission includes costume role-play, and we want you to capture those memories.
- During the Game: To keep our puzzles a surprise for future explorers, photos and videos are not allowed inside the rooms during gameplay.
The Victory Shoot: Once the mission is complete, you are more than welcome to take as many photos and videos as you like in your costumes!
Pro-Tip: We recommend wearing comfortable clothes so your little ones can move freely during their adventure.
Can non-paying adults enter the premise?
Only paying customers are allowed inside our premise. Thank you for your understanding.
Booking FAQs
Is booking required?
We strongly recommend booking on our website to get your preferred slot. We certainly welcome walk-ins too, subject to availability.
As for bookings for unaccompanied children 12 and above, a designated adult contact is required. Kindly select Kids Only Booking (All players 12yo and above) on our booking landing page to proceed.
How long is the game?
Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your reservation time slot. Each booking time slot is about 1.5 hours, inclusive of briefings, passport design, role-play costume fitting, photo-taking, ball playing zone and 2 escape rooms play!
Can I choose 2 games of my choice instead of your fixed game bundle?
Our escape room games are prefixed in a bundle of two for the best experience. We encourage you to experience all 4 bundles, and your child will receive a special reward for accomplishing all themes!
What is the difference between Group A or B game bundle?
The only difference is the sequence of the two games! For example – Group 1A plays Detective first followed by Baker; Group 1B plays Baker first followed by Detective.
What if I want to add more players after I have made my booking & payment?
Additional tickets can be purchased upon arrival. To avoid delay, please arrive at least 10 minutes before scheduled timeslot.
We are late for our booking, what do we do?
Please note that your game duration might be affected depending on how late you arrive. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your team will be able to play only the second allocated game. Do contact us at our WhatsApp if you are running late.
What if I cannot make it for my reservation due to unforeseen circumstances?
Please contact us via WhatsApp at least 24 hours in advance for any changes. Please note that all tickets sold are non-refundable.
Do you offer birthday party packages for kids?
Yes! We offer premium, all-inclusive birthday experiences: The Grand Celebration and The Royal Celebration. Our parties are 2.5 hours of immersive fun, including 2 escape room games per child, a cake-cutting ceremony, and a dedicated KITR Party Host.
What’s Included in Our Packages:
– Gameplay: 2 immersive escape room plays per child
– Party Perks: Birthday party setup, personalised e-invites, goodie bags, and exciting party games
– Capacity: We can host up to 12 children + 12 adults in the Grand Celebration; or up to 24 kids + 24 adults in the Royal Celebration
Exclusive Weekday Bonus: Planning a Friday afternoon celebration? For our weekday packages, we provide a FREE one-way shuttle bus service from your chosen pickup point (such as your child’s school) directly to Marina Square. This is the perfect “hassle-free” solution — kids travel safely together after class, and parents can simply pick them up from the mall once the party concludes in the evening.

Can schools book excursions for preschool or primary school students?
Absolutely! Kids In The Room offers immersive educational excursions specifically designed for Preschools and Primary Schools. While our missions include STEM-based puzzles, our primary focus is on 21st Century Competencies (21CC) and the holistic development of every student, facilitating a “out-of-classroom” experience that nurtures resilient, communicative, and creative thinkers.
How we adapt for different levels:
For Preschoolers (Ages 5–6): We focus on a high-success, confidence-boosting environment. To ensure our youngest explorers feel empowered, we provide increased facilitation by our Game Masters and adjust the puzzle complexity to suit their developmental milestones.
For Primary Schools (Ages 7–12): Our missions are designed to provide the time and space for students to lead their own adventure. We step back to let them observe, collaborate, and apply 21CC skills naturally as a team to solve challenges through collective problem-solving.
